From June 1, 2026, the numerical codes indicating the purpose of a residence permit will be expanded. This change primarily affects employee cards, long-term visas and long-term residence permits for the purpose of studies, as well as long-term visas and long-term residence permits for the purpose of other educational activities.
Biometric residence permit cards issued after June 1, 2026, will already contain the new codes. The codes used on residence permits and visas issued before June 1, 2026, remain valid. It is not possible to request a replacement of these documents.
