Application is Being Processed
The Ministry is processing your application. Your options vary depending on the respective kind of administrative proceeding and where you applied.
Applications submitted within the territory of the Czech Republic and applications for residence permits submitted at a diplomatic mission:
The Ministry of the Interior will assess your application within an administrative procedure. If the Ministry of the Interior finds a defect in the application or in the attached documents, it will send you a written request to rectify deficiencies in the application or to supplement supporting documents for processing. The request will always describe precisely what the deficiency is and what steps are needed to correct it. A time limit for correction will also be set. In justified cases, this time limit can be extended upon your written request.
During the administrative procedure, you may for example:
- Supplement the application with additional documents
- Be represented in the procedure (power of attorney).
- Request to inspect the file.
- Request a stay of the administrative procedure.
- Withdraw the application (withdrawal of the application).
Long-term visa applications submitted at a diplomatic mission
The Ministry of the Interior first assesses the application from a formal perspective and verifies whether you meet the conditions for being granted the requested residence permit. In this context, you may be summoned for an interview conducted by the respective embassy upon the Ministry’s request.
During the administrative procedure, you can for example:
- Supplement the application with additional documents.
- Be represented in the procedure (power of attorney).
- Request to inspect the file.
- Withdraw the application (withdrawal of the application).
