Request for Familiarisation with the Status of the Administrative Procedure

If you have submitted an application for a residence permit, you can track its status online on the website on Status of my application, or in your personal user account. If you wish to receive an official statement on the administrative procedure from the Ministry of the Interior, you can submit a request for Familiarisation with the status of the administrative procedure in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Code.

How and where to submit the request?

Send the request to the locally competent Ministry of the Interior office by post, via Data Box, by e-mail with a recognised electronic signature, or through a legal representative.

What is the processing period of the request?

The processing period is 30 days from the day the Ministry of the Interior receives the request.

What information will you receive in the response?

The Ministry will provide a brief statement on the status of your application as of the date of processing the response.

The response will state whether the administrative procedure:

  1. is ongoing (the Ministry is gathering documents or is evaluating the application),
  2. has been suspended, or
  3. has been decided.

The Ministry does not provide hypothetical scenarios regarding the possible outcome of an ongoing procedure, nor does it disclose the reasons or considerations leading to a particular decision.
