Remote Submission
If you wisht to submit an application, provide additional documents, or report a change by post, Data Box or e-mail with a recognized electronic signature, make sure to respect the applicable time period. For the purpose of calculating the period, the decisive date is the date of dispatch by post, submission via Data Box, or sending via e-mail. Always check whether the given action can be performed remotely or if your personal presence is required.

BY E-MAIL WITH A RECOGNISED ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE
You can send a filled-in form and other required documents by post to the Ministry of the Interior office based on your place of residence.
You must always send originals or certified copies of documents. Do not send the original of your travel document by post. Send only a simple copy of the page with your personal data. You will present the original later at the Ministry of the Interior office.
In the case of civil registry documents, you must present the original. However, it is sufficient to send a simple copy by post; you will present the original later at the Ministry of the Interior office.
You may also send the form and documents by post even if you are not currently in the Czech Republic. This is the only case when the mail is not sent to the office according to your place of residence.

If you own a Data Box, you can use it to submit the completed form along with the required documents. Apart from the form itself, all attachments must be in the form of an authorised electronic conversion.
Authorised conversion means transforming a paper document into an electronic version that has the same legal validity as the original or certified copy. This type of conversion is used when you are required to submit an original or an officially certified copy. Only authorised entities can carry out the conversion – for example, at Czech POINT offices.

If you need to perform an action via a Data Box that requires the signatures of two or more persons, the data message must include recognised electronic signatures of all involved parties..
If you have a recognised electronic signature, you can submit your application by sending the completed form and required documents by email to the Ministry of the Interior’s official address (posta@mv.gov.cz). Apart from the form itself, all attachments must be in the authorised conversion format.
A recognised electronic signature is created using a certificate accepted by public authorities. It can be used to sign PDF and MS Word files and to communicate with public administration.
