Communication via Data Box
To ensure better processing of your request, we recommend following these guidelines when sending messages via Data Box to the Department for Asylum and Migration Policy of the Ministry of the Interior.
- In the subject line, always include the abbreviation OAMP (= Department for Asylum and Migration Policy).
- In the subject line, always specify whether your message is:
a) a general inquiry,
b) submission of an application, report, providing additional documents to an application, an appeal etc. - For general inquiries, describe the situation and state the type of current or requested residence permit together with the foreigner’s nationality, and other relevant details. For specific inquiries, also include the foreigner’s first name, surname, date of birth, and document number.
- When providing additional documents to an ongoing procedure, always state the reference number of the procedure (e.g. OAM-12345/XX-2025).

1. Subject: OAMP – question regarding extension of long-term residence for the purpose of studies
Dear Sir or Madam,
my name is XY, document number: XXX, I am a citizen of Albania, and I hold a long-term residence permit for the purpose of studies in the Czech Republic valid until 31 August. How can I extend my residence?

2. Subject: OAMP – providing additional documents in procedure – OAM-987654/ZM-2025
Dear Sir or Madam,
my name is XY, document number: XXX, I am a citizen of India and, in response to the notification, I am adding a proof of accommodation to the procedure OAM-987654/ZM-2025.
