Offences Committed by Natural Persons and the Imposition of a Fine Under the Act on the Residence of Foreign Nationals

In accordance with the law1, a fine ranging from CZK 3,000 to CZK 50,000 may be imposed for the offences listed below.

Most frequently occurring offences and possible sanctions if committed:

  • Failure to report changes within the stipulated period. 
    • A fine of up to CZK 3,000. 
  • Failure to report the loss, destruction, damage, or theft of a residence permit document within 3 days of the event. 
    • A fine of up to CZK 5,000. 
  • Failure to extend the validity of a permanent residence permit card within the stipulated period. 
    • A fine of up to CZK 3,000. 
  • Failure to submit an application for a temporary residence permit of an EU citizen family member within 3 months of becoming a family member. 
    • A fine of up to CZK 5,000. 
  • Failure to complete the Adaptation and Integration Course within the stipulated period, if this obligation applies to you. 
    • A fine of up to CZK 10,000.
