All duty stamps will expire on December 31, 2024, and therefore will no longer be accepted for the payment of administrative fees.
Applications with duty stamps can only be submitted in person or remotely until December 31, 2024.
For applications submitted by remote means, duty stamps will only be accepted for payment of the administrative fee if the application is submitted (together with the stamps) by post until December 31, 2024.
Applications submitted with stamps after this date will be accepted, but you will be required to pay an administration fee as the stamps will no longer be valid.
From January 2025, payment of the administrative fee will be possible in the following ways, depending on how you submit your application:
- for applications submitted exclusively in person, you will pay the administrative fee by credit card at the Ministry of the Interior office,
- If you do not pay the administrative fee during the submission of the application in person, you will be asked to pay it by bank transfer to the account of the Ministry of the Interior or by cheque.
- for applications sent by post or data box, you can pay the administrative fee in advance by bank transfer using the payment details generator on the Information Portal for Foreigners.
- Before submitting your application, generate the payment details (the Ministry of the Interior’s bank account number and your variable symbol) via the Information Portal for Foreigners.
- You must then pay the fee by bank transfer to the Ministry of the Interior’s account before submitting your application.
- You then need to attach proof of payment to the application, including your variable symbol under which your payment was made.
At the Ministry of the Interior offices, payment can only be made by credit card. Payment in cash is not possible.
More information about these new payment methods will be published on this portal and on the Facebook page of the Information Portal for Foreigners.
